We met in Austin in 2018 the good ol’ fashioned way - a very lucky swipe on Tinder! John had just moved to Texas from Wisconsin, while I was starting my junior year at the University of Texas. After weeks of "Sorry, I'm sooo busy, maybe next weekend?" we finally had our first date at Casey's New Orleans Sno-Balls, a rare slice of Nola culture in texas. I went for a classic tiger's blood sno-ball, and John chose a risky coffee-almond flavor (my sno-ball flavor was way better!).

As we chatted for hours about our families and personal values we quickly discovered how much we had in common. The rest, as they say, is history!
